On March 20, the Bush administration, joined by Briton, started an armed attack on Iraq. It cannot be justified by any reason, because the United Nation Security Council has never adopted resolution serving as the rationale for the on-going war.

The on-going attack is nothing less than an exposure of dangerous nature of Bush administration that does not hesitate to do anything to achieve its ambitious, if they exclaim it is gan act to defend freedom and justiceh. It is an unacceptable challenge against development of human history.

Possible mass murder of innocent civilians and children may leave a major stain in the history of human beings in the 21st century. It stomps over the new century by military boots and roughly trampled peace rule and international order or UN Charter. Their act is obvious to be criticized by the people all over the world wishing g21st century as peaceful oneh.

Zenroren never permits and strongly condemns the attack on Iraq by Bush administration. We also strongly denounce the Koizumi Government for it has continued to render, even though Japan has the Article 9 of the Japanese constitution.

Zenroren adopted the Action Program, gFor the bright futureh, at its foundation. In this program, we declare gto aim stopping nuclear war, abolition of nuclear weapons, dissolution of all military alliances, to realize lasting peace, to establish gnew international economic orderh respecting national sovereign rights and preservation of environmenth. Standing on this point of origin, Zenroren have made every possible effort to stop the war on Iraq by the US in solidarity with peace loving peoples and trade unions all over the world.

Every worker has their hands to generate products or services, does not have ones to help bearing a part to killing. We, laborer, firmly reject any cooperation with war. We demand that the US immediate halt of the attack on Iraq. This is fundamental demand for human beings to live.

We sincerely call for workers in Japan and all over the world. Any doubts or hesitations never have a place in this movement. The workers of Japan and the world, let us raise and go into action for immediate halt to the attack on Iraq by the US and resolution based on the UN Charter.
